A graduate from the University of Rochester, Amanda studied art history and studio arts before becoming an apprentice to a well-established jeweler, where she learned the ins and outs of the trade. In the summer of 2015, Witz Jewelry Design was born when Rabinowitz bought her first 3D printer; affectionately named Citrus, taught herself CAD (computer-aided design) then later enrolled and graduated with a certificate from the Gemological Institute of America in 2015 in CAD/CAM for jewelry design and began bringing individuals’ jewelry dreams to life.
Amanda quickly realized there was a significant need in the jewelry market for purely one-of- a-kind, custom pieces that are unique to each client; and she was going to fill that void.
Amanda prides herself on the close relationships she has with each of her customers. She works thoroughly with each customer to create exactly what he or she has imagined, adding her own design concepts and enhancing features when the customer asks her to do so.
“I give people the opportunity to be their own artist, I just provide them with the services necessary to realize their ideas.” – Amanda Rabinowitz, Founder and President, Witz Jewelry Design
